PPOC Canadian Imaging Conference and Trade Show

April 16 - 19, 2016

I'm extremely honoured and excited to have the opportunity to present at this years annual national PPOC conference. The presentation will focus on "Finding Your Vision in Expedition Photography," covering landscape images of Canada from the Atlantic to the Pacific to the Arctic oceans. The presentation is part of an early riser series and will held from 7:00 - 8:30am on Sunday April 17th. I hope to see you there!

If you aren't attending the PPOC conference or can't make my presentation, the PPOC's premier professional photography magazine Gallerie is featuring my article, "the natural landscape is a transformational terrain", based on my presentation.

7pm Saturday May 7, Scarboro United Church, Calgary, AB

If you are not an early riser, but would like to see my presentation on the Canadian landscape then there is another opportunity, on the 7th of May (a civilized hour) at Scarboro United Church in Calgary.

Northbound. Images, songs and stories of Labrador, Greenland and the Northwest Passage.

Hosted by David Newland and Scott Forsyth, in conjunction with the Scarboro United Church Choir under the director Liz Paynter.

The event is sponsored by Adventure Canada and Canadian Geographic and will include an intermission with a Landscape Print exhibition and fundraising sale, along with a giant Canadian Geographic floor map of Canada to explore. A Governor of Canadian Geographic (Dr. Lynn Moorman) will display earth satellite images and interpretations along with Scott's landscape images in the first half of the show and the second half will involve stories and songs by Davd Newland and guests.

Tickets will be $20 and all proceeds will be donated to the Marilyn Perkins Memorial Hall. Please contact Scarboro United Church or myself for information regarding tickets

Greenland & Wild Labrador

June 29 - Jul 11, 2016

There is still space available to join me aboard Adventure Canada's Ocean Endeavour this July, on an expedition departing from St. John's, Newfoundland and sailing to Labrador and the Torngat Mountains, before arriving in magnificent Greenland. Please contact me to learn more about a special offer regarding the fare, if you are considering joining the expedition tour.

Agora Gallery Exhibition NYC

Plurality of Expression

Agora Gallery in NYC has acquired an additional street level exhibition space with full window frontage and I was completely surprised and thrilled to have 17 of my landscape images featured in this new space from January 19 - February 9, 2016. The opening was very well attended, and thanks especially to my wife Rossana and our daughter Maia in addition to my esteemed Adventure Canada friends Stefan Sandberg and Milbry Polk, for their presence and support!

The images, largely composed of Canadian wilderness landscapes, created a positive stir in the skyscraper goliath that never sleeps. Reaction was so positive that Agora Gallery has selected several images to remain on display at the gallery at this very moment. If you are in the area, please drop by to check it out.

Thanks for all your continuing interest and support of my photography. Enjoy your spring and hopefully see some of you at the PPOC and the Northbound presentations!

All the best, Scott
